Western Association of Schools and Colleges
CETYS became the first university outside of the US to be accredited by WASC, one of the six accrediting organizations for higher education in North America.
Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs
The School of Business Administration at CETYS University is the first institution of higher education in Northwestern Mexico to receive international accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. Student Success

The Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering programs at the Mexicali Campus are accredited by the ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC).
UI Green Metric World University Rankings
It is positioned as the only institution in the northwest of Mexico to be part of the UI GreenMetric Ranking, with the #6 position of private universities, #11 in Mexico, #41 in Latin America and #303 worldwide.
FIMPES National Affiliation
CETYS University is the only institution in Baja California accredited by the Federation of Mexican Private Higher Education Institutions (FIMPES), having received the highest distinction on three occasions. In 2020, it achieved reaccreditation, valid until May 2027.
