The fifth cohort of the Triple Degree MBA Program arrives at CETYS Ensenada from Taiwan

Students from Austria, France, Croatia, Taiwan, and the United States have joined the fifth cohort of the Triple Degree MBA program and arrived at CETYS University’s International Campus in Ensenada, Baja California; Mexico. They will be attending classes at the institution for three months.

The students were welcomed in a ceremony headed by Dr. Fernando León-García, President of the CETYS University System, who highlighted that the Triple Degree MBA is the outcome of a partnership established in 2019 between the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Providence University in Taiwan, and CETYS University.

Dr. León expressed his honor in welcoming the group comprised of seven students and shared that, upon completing the program, they will be well-equipped to tackle challenges in a global business environment, enhancing their global competitiveness. He emphasized that the students will develop international negotiation skills, becoming not only better professionals but also better individuals ready to conquer their goals.

Dr. Mónica López Sieben, Director of the CETYS Graduate School of Business (GSB), shared that the Triple Degree MBA was designed in response to the growing trend towards diversifying educational offerings worldwide. It aims to provide students with an authentic multicultural experience aligned with the cutting-edge competencies required in the 21st century. She expressed her wishes for the students’ success and encouraged them to make the most of this unique experience.

Dr. Scott Venezia, Director of International Relations at the CETYS University System, emphasized the institution’s commitment to internationalization, offering quality education with global competitiveness. He encouraged the students to expand their networks, engage with experts, immerse themselves in a culturally rich environment, and take advantage of the industry and business opportunities available.

Mckenna Mellon, a graduate of Cornell University from the United States, chose to pursue the Triple Degree MBA program due to its potential to contribute to her professional goals. She expressed her enthusiasm for the program, as it will reinforce her previous academic experience and equip her with the necessary tools to succeed and establish global business connections.

Fabian Koehler from Austria views the Triple Degree MBA as more than just an academic pursuit. It affords him a unique opportunity to fully immerse himself in the vibrant cultures of Mexico and Taiwan while acquiring proficiency in new languages. He strongly believes that his calling lies in the realm of international business and regards this program as the perfect opportunity to achieve his aspirations.

The CETYS University International Campus in Ensenada is the second destination for these seven students, following their previous three-month stay in Taiwan. After their time in Ensenada, they will conclude their journey in Austria. Once they complete their experiences on three continents, they will return to their respective home universities to undertake practical projects that will have both a local impact and a global perspective.

Upon graduation, the students will be awarded three degrees: a Master’s in Business Administration from CETYS University, a Global Master’s in Business Administration from Providence University in Taiwan, and a Master’s in Global Marketing and Sales from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria.
