Students and educators from 25 countries participate in CETYS International Summer Program (ISP)

Amidst a spirited ceremony, 287 students and 15 professors from across the globe assembled for the 11th edition of CETYS University’s renowned International Summer Program (ISP) 2023, hosted by the Ensenada campus.

This year’s edition boasts an impressive blend of cultural diversity, with participants hailing from 25 different countries. Remarkably, the program has taken a stride forward by including a group of high school students for the very first time. Eager to explore fresh academic horizons, these young minds will take part in diverse activities and coursework thoughtfully curated for the ISP.

In his welcome message, Dr. Fernando León-García, President of CETYS University, emphasized that the ISP was conceived as a gateway to provide students with unparalleled internationalization opportunities while establishing meaningful connections with fellow scholars worldwide.

Dr. Francisco Vélez-Torres, Dean of CETYS University International Campus in Ensenada, expressed his excitement for the next two weeks, during which students will not only deepen their knowledge but also actively participate in intercultural activities that will undoubtedly elevate their professional growth within an international context.

«Our program has a special addition this year – a group of high school students joining us for an intensive week of learning, accompanied by a dedicated faculty member from Colombia. Furthermore, we are delighted to host students from Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom, who have chosen to come to Mexico and CETYS for four weeks, partnering with us in the ISP and engaging in meaningful projects and community service in Ensenada afterward.» highlighted Dr. Francisco Vélez.
