The International Summer Program (ISP) will take place from July 17th to 28th at CETYS University International Campus in Ensenada. Its purpose is to enrich the multicultural learning experience for CETYS undergraduates and foster collaborative work among students from different nationalities.

The ISP is an intensive two-week program that offers CETYS students a unique experience. It brings together international students and faculty, providing an opportunity to immerse in an international environment and partake in courses taught with a global focus and an international perspective while guided by experts from various countries. Students will receive relevant feedback and engage in academic activities with peers from around the world.

For 2023, we expect the participation of 300 students throughout ten courses offered in face-to-face mode and three more available online. Confirmed participants include students from Germany, Morocco, Kazakhstan, China, Colombia, the United Kingdom, Italy, Peru, Armenia, Russia, Poland, Latvia, and Georgia, as announced by Dr. Diana Woolfolk, Deputy Director of International Relations at CETYS University System.

She also shared that the courses will be taught by faculty members from Peru, Greece, the Netherlands, Australia, the Czech Republic, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates.

«In addition to sharing sessions with students and faculty from around the world, CETYS participants will undergo a transformative experience that will undoubtedly exceed their expectations. Besides the classroom-based academic activities, they will have the opportunity to visit relevant companies and engage in social and cultural activities,» shared Dr. Diana Woolfolk.

«As an option, CETYS students can validate a course within their respective curricula; this is not obligatory as they can take the ISP courses as an elective class. Either way, this experience will enrich their curriculum with the knowledge that will enable them to develop soft skills and broaden their perspective on the challenges faced in the job market, as well as on the high level of competitiveness currently demanded,» said Dr. Woolfolk.

The courses offered in 2023 are: Innovation and New Product Development, International Marketing, International Negotiation Strategies, Project Management, Strategic Management, Human Being and Sustainability, Business Intelligence, Forensic Psychology, Supply Chain Management, and Trade and Commercial Agreements.

Online courses include: Cross-Cultural Behavior, Renewable Energy Sources, and Human Being and Sustainability.

Roberto Zumaya, a student from the School of Business and Administration at the Ensenada Campus, participated in the marketing course taught by a professor from Poland in the 2022 ISP, and he highly recommends this enriching experience.

«I attended classes with students from the United Kingdom, which helped me reinforce my English language skills and gain insights into their unique approach to concepts. The classes were dynamic, and we exchanged ideas and cultural perspectives. It broadened our horizons, expanded our minds, and encouraged us to envision a better future. That’s why I am excited to participate in the 2023 ISP,» shared Roberto.
