In its 2025 edition, Líderes Mexicanos magazine recognizes Dr. Fernando León García as one of the voices positively transforming the country.

Dr. Fernando León García, President of the CETYS University System, has been included for the sixth time among the most influential figures in the country by the magazine Líderes Mexicanos, in its 2025 edition of «The 300 Most Influential Leaders in Mexico.»

This distinction reaffirms Dr. León García’s leadership in the field of national and international education. This list highlights his goal of spearheading efforts to reaffirm comprehensive training and quality education, in addition to improving and innovating educational models and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals. It also highlights the importance of partnerships as a priority, promoting internationalization to create synergies and strengthening local initiatives, all for the benefit of society.

His work as rector for 15 years, as well as his role as President of the Council of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) and current President of the Mexican Association of Private Universities (AMUP), and his active participation in national and international organizations in the field, consolidate him as a key figure in the transformation of higher education in Mexico.
