{"id":79080,"date":"2018-01-20T11:39:56","date_gmt":"2018-01-20T19:39:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/noticias\/?p=79080"},"modified":"2018-01-23T12:53:02","modified_gmt":"2018-01-23T20:53:02","slug":"avanza-posible-ingreso-cetys-ncaa-tras-historica-decision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/noticias\/avanza-posible-ingreso-cetys-ncaa-tras-historica-decision\/","title":{"rendered":"Avanza posible ingreso de CETYS a NCAA, tras hist\u00f3rica decisi\u00f3n"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En una hist\u00f3rica votaci\u00f3n este fin de semana, la National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) Divisi\u00f3n II aprob\u00f3 la \u00a0Propuesta No. 2018-1, por un voto de 253-45, lo cual abre las puertas para que universidades mexicanas acreditadas en Estados Unidos<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> puedan buscar la membres\u00eda en NCAA, siendo <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CETYS Universidad<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> una de ellas y clave en el cabildeo de esta iniciativa.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es una gran noticia porque hemos trabajado, y seguimos trabajando, para continuar promoviendo el desarrollo integral de nuestro alumnado a trav\u00e9s del deporte y elevar el nivel deportivo a los est\u00e1ndares de la Divisi\u00f3n II de la NCAA. Pero m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del deporte, este hecho representa un <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">acercamiento entre dos pa\u00edses a trav\u00e9s de los estudiantes en un marco \/>\n            <\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las fuertes alianzas que la universidad bajacaliforniana tiene con universidades en EUA, especialmente en California, fueron clave para lograr el empuje de este cambio de estatutos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Este enfoque internacional impuls\u00f3 a la instituci\u00f3n a buscar y obtener de la acreditaci\u00f3n de la Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) en 2012, refrendada recientemente hasta 2027, misma que hoy la convierte en una de las tan solo 5 universidades en M\u00e9xico que cumplen con este requerimiento b\u00e1sico para poder solicitar la membres\u00eda de la NCAA.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por otro lado, desde el a\u00f1o pasado, CETYS inici\u00f3 una serie de <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">juegos amistosos contra equipos como Humboldt State University en f\u00fatbol americano; Azusa Pacific University y Sonoma State University en b\u00e9isbol; y esfuerzo fortalecer\u00e1 la capacidad y profesionalizaci\u00f3n del deporte.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La universidad continuar\u00e1 elevando la calidad de su programa atl\u00e9tico \u00a0a trav\u00e9s de una creciente inversi\u00f3n, mejores instalaciones deportivas, y una oferta deportiva m\u00e1s enfocada. <em>\u201cDe lo que estamos seguros es que el nivel
