Las universidades deben ofrecer una educaci\u00f3n que prepare a los estudiantes para el empleo y forme ciudadanos integrales capaces de contribuir al mejoramiento de la sociedad, seg\u00fan Fernando Le\u00f3n Garc\u00eda, dijo el Rector de CETYS y presidente de la Asociaci\u00f3n Internacional de Presidentes Universitarios\u00a0(IAUP por sus\u00a0siglas en ingl\u00e9s) ante una entrevista con\u00a0Korea<\/span>\u00a0Times, el medio m\u00e1s\u00a0importante en ingl\u00e9s de la pen\u00ednsula coreana.<\/p>\n

Estos dos aspectos no son mutuamente excluyentes, ya que deben de ir de la mano. Estos comentarios,\u00a0 se producen en medio de r\u00e1pidos cambios en curso en el debate sobre las funciones y servicios de las universidades en un mundo cambiante.<\/p>\n

“Debemos asegurarnos de que los estudiantes est\u00e9n bien preparados y equipados con los conocimientos y habilidades que les permitan ser excelentes profesionales en sus respectivos campos. Pero tambi\u00e9n debemos prever la reflexi\u00f3n, el an\u00e1lisis, la conciencia y las conexiones que implica estar expuestos a algunos de los desaf\u00edos de la sociedad”.<\/p>\n
