Anteriormente, se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como Presidente de la Divisi\u00f3n Internacional de City University of Seattle, cubriendo programas, campus y sitios en Am\u00e9rica, Europa y Asia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De igual forma, es miembro de varios Consejos, adem\u00e1s de su trabajo con CASE, y grupos asesores relacionados con la educaci\u00f3n superior internacional, la acreditaci\u00f3n, gobernanza y desarrollo institucional, incluida la Asociaci\u00f3n Occidental de Escuelas y Colegios, Consejo de Presidentes de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Juntas de Gobierno, Comisi\u00f3n de Internacionalizaci\u00f3n\/Compromiso global del Consejo Americano de Educaci\u00f3n, la Asociaci\u00f3n Hispana de Colegios y Universidad, entre muchos otros.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;A medida que CASE alcanza su objetivo OneCASE, la importancia de la representaci\u00f3n y el apoyo para Am\u00e9rica Latina es fundamental. Me siento honrado de participar en CASE en la creaci\u00f3n del Consejo Regional Latinoamericano. A trav\u00e9s del Consejo Regional Latinoamericano, evaluaremos las necesidades de los profesionales de avance y las instituciones educativas a las que sirven\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A principios de este julio, el Dr. Le\u00f3n Garc\u00eda complet\u00f3 un mandato de seis a\u00f1os en el Consejo de CASE, tiempo en el que se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como Presidente del Comit\u00e9 Internacional del Consejo y fue miembro del Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por su parte,<\/span><b> Sue Cunningham, Presidenta y Directora Ejecutiva de CASE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> coment\u00f3: <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEstamos entusiasmados de que el Dr. Fernando Le\u00f3n sea nuestro presidente inaugural del nuevo Consejo CASE para Am\u00e9rica Latina.
