Desde hoy hasta el s\u00e1bado 7 de abril el Gimnasio-Auditorio \u201cRodrigo Valle Hern\u00e1ndez\u201d del Campus Tijuana recibe a los 16 selectivos colegiales m\u00e1s importantes de b\u00e1squetbol en M\u00e9xico.<\/div>\n

En punto del mediod\u00eda de este lunes 2 abril m\u00e1s de 1,500 asistentes se dieron cita en las instalaciones del Gimnasio-Auditorio \u201cRodrigo Valle Hern\u00e1ndez\u201d de CETYS Universidad Campus Tijuana, con el objetivo de ser testigos del arranque de la fiesta del b\u00e1squetbol universitario en M\u00e9xico el Campeonato Nacional \u201cOcho Grandes\u201d 2018 de la Liga ABE.<\/p>\n

La ceremonia de inauguraci\u00f3n encabezada por el Dr. Fernando Le\u00f3n Garc\u00eda, Rector del Sistema CETYS Universidad, cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n del Mtro. Mart\u00edn Vel\u00e1zquez Guill\u00e9n, Director General de la Asociaci\u00f3n de B\u00e1squetbol Estudiantil; el Mtro. Sa\u00fal Castro Verdugo, Director del Instituto del Deporte y Cultura F\u00edsica de Baja California; el Lic. Adalberto S\u00e1nchez Velasco, Director del Instituto Municipal del Deporte de Tijuana, y la Mtra. Jessica Ibarra Ramonet, Directora Zona Costa de CETYS Universidad, as\u00ed como autoridades acad\u00e9micas.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdem\u00e1s de la justa deportiva que hoy inicia, todos y cada uno de ustedes forma parte de un esfuerzo de nuestras universidades de formar personas, de promover la formaci\u00f3n integral, en este caso a trav\u00e9s del deporte y en particular del basquetbol; es a trav\u00e9s de esta disciplina, entre otras, que se fomenta el trabajo en equipo, se fomenta la competitividad y el desarrollo de talento\u201d, destac\u00f3 el Dr. Le\u00f3n Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Por su parte, el Mtro. Vel\u00e1zquez Guill\u00e9n felicit\u00f3 a los 16 selectivos nacionales que lograron su pase a los Ocho Grandes, asegurando que dar\u00e1n muestra de talento sobre la duela del Gimnasio – Auditorio \u201cRodrigo Valle Hern\u00e1ndez\u201d. La historia de los equipos de la rama femenil comenzar\u00e1 a escribirse esta tarde con el encuentro entre Zorros de CETYS Universidad y Tigres Blancos de la Universidad Madero (Puebla).<\/p>\n

Mientras que el el Mtro. Castro Verdugo agradeci\u00f3 al comit\u00e9 de la Liga ABE la confianza puesta en Baja California, espec\u00edficamente en Tijuana y CETYS Universidad, para el desarrollo de esta quinta edici\u00f3n. Posterior a ello, las actividades iniciaron con la declaratoria inaugural en voz del Dr. Le\u00f3n Garc\u00eda, para dar paso al tiro de canasta inicial que encabez\u00f3 en conjunto con Damaris Temores, miembro de Zorros Femenil.<\/p>\n

Cabe destacar que el Campeonato Nacional de los Ochos Grandes podr\u00e1 ser visto por internet, principalmente a trav\u00e9s de la transmisi\u00f3n oficial de\u00a0Deportes CETYS Tijuana<\/a>\u00a0en Facebook y por YouTube a trav\u00e9s del canal de\u00a0CETYS Universidad<\/a>. En el acto inaugural asistieron como invitados de honor los m\u00e1s de 200 atletas y entrenadores, representando a 9 instituciones de educaci\u00f3n superior de M\u00e9xico, que durante 6 d\u00edas se enfrentar\u00e1n por ser reconocidos como los campeones nacionales en las ramas varonil y femenil de basquetbol universitario en nuestro pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n
