CETYS University<\/a> is one of the first two Latin American higher education institutions, to be part of this alliance.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In the search of strategic alliances in the fields of technology and applied research, CETYS University<\/a> has been named a member of the \u201cBelt and Road Aerospace Innovation Alliance\u201d<\/strong> <\/a>(BRAIA)<\/strong>, an international organization with the Northwestern Polytechnical University<\/a> and the Chinese Society of Astronautics<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u00abBeing part of this alliance allows us to participate, promote and propose aerospace projects with other universities. The benefits are for students and professors. They can get involved in workshops with institutions abroad that are members of BRAIA. This would be another form of internationalization for our engineering students. Also, the alliance will promote the development of our region, with the help of universities that have extensive resources in the aerospace field\u00bb said Dr. Jorge Sosa, Dean of the College of Engineering.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

According to Dr. Sosa<\/strong>, by 2020, professors and students will participate in workshops and diverse competitions, that will take place in partnership with BRAIA<\/strong> members.<\/span><\/p>\n

BRAIA<\/strong> now has 63 members from 21 countries including Algeria, America, Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, China, Egypt, France, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Spain, Tunisia, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.<\/span><\/p>\n

The mission of BRAIA<\/strong> is to enhance the international cooperation on aerospace technology and its\u00a0 application. Its focus is to promote the substantial cooperation among BRAIA<\/strong> members in talent cultivation, scientific research, technology development and applications.<\/span><\/p>\n
