{"id":585,"date":"2019-10-07T19:50:46","date_gmt":"2019-10-07T19:50:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/news\/?p=585"},"modified":"2020-03-19T06:11:36","modified_gmt":"2020-03-19T06:11:36","slug":"how-cetys-alumni-are-creating-a-positive-impact-in-their-communities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/news\/how-cetys-alumni-are-creating-a-positive-impact-in-their-communities\/","title":{"rendered":"How CETYS Alumni are creating a positive impact in their communities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the purpose of recognize the actions that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/alumni\/\">CETYS Alumni<\/a> perform in their community, the event <strong>#ImpactoCETYSAlumni<\/strong> was carried out, from the 5<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to the 21<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">st<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of September, where CETYS Alumni were invited to take action in the benefit of a better world and communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the 58<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Anniversary of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/en\/\">CETYS University<\/a>, on September 21 simultaneous activities were carried out in the cities of Ensenada, Mexicali and Tijuana, where CETYS Alumni had the opportunity to contribute in the well-being of their cities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Ensenada, CETYS Alumni joined \u201cOcean Conservancy\u201d, a global project that identifies the types of waste in the beaches and streams, with the purpose of eliminating the sources of this problem and reduce pollution. This activity took place in San Miguel Beach in Ensenada.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI loved being part of this experience. I know there are no small efforts, everything adds up, and many wills are required to make a change. Our planet needs it. I am proud that my alma mater is part of this project, and I hope this will continue and many more people will join\u201d said<strong> Deneb Campos Martinez, Industrial Engineering graduate.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-587\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/1-1.jpg\" alt=\"limpieza\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the city of Tijuana, the Alumni visited the Orphanage <strong>\u201cColina de Luz\u201d<\/strong>, a nonprofit organization where different activities were carried out, focused on teaching the children about emotional intelligence. Also, a donation of goods was delivered to the Orphanage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-588\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/2.jpg\" alt=\"comunidad\" width=\"527\" height=\"297\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, in Mexicali the Alumni Community visited the Orphanage<strong> \u201cA Way Out\u201d<\/strong>, a nonprofit organization where more than 40 teenagers live. As part of the schedule, the Dean of the School of Psychology at CETYS University, professor Ivon Guerrero gave a workshop on life planning.
