{"id":492,"date":"2019-05-15T23:04:44","date_gmt":"2019-05-15T23:04:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/news\/?p=492"},"modified":"2020-03-19T04:41:19","modified_gmt":"2020-03-19T04:41:19","slug":"cetys-and-centro-regional-medical-center-will-train-mexican-nurses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/news\/cetys-and-centro-regional-medical-center-will-train-mexican-nurses\/","title":{"rendered":"CETYS and El Centro Regional Medical Center will train mexican nurses"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CETYS University at its Mexicali Campus presents the Training Program for Registered Nurses to Practice their Profession in California, in agreement with El Centro Regional Medical Center.<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the objective of training nurses in the region in specific vocabulary and terminology in English, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/en\">CETYS University<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecrmc.org\/\">El Centro Regional Medical Center<\/a> (ECRMC) in California, announced the agreement <\/span><strong><i>Training Program for Registered Nurses to Practice their Profession in California<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where candidates will have the opportunity to perform professionally at this American hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To encourage the participation of local nurses, the ECRMC hospital will grant 15 full scholarships to all those interested that meet the requirements to take this course, such as being a registered nurse in Mexico, have an English level B1 according to Common Framework of Language Reference, be eligible to obtain a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/content\/travel\/en\/us-visas\/employment\/visas-canadian-mexican-nafta-professional-workers.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nonimmigrant NAFTA Professional (TN) visa<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, among others. The recipients of these scholarships will also be assisted in obtaining the corresponding license by the California Board of Registered Nursing. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At a press conference, Mario Dipp N\u00fa\u00f1ez, Dean of CETYS University Mexicali Campus, said that the Institution is constantly seeking to partner with companies and organizations through projects that actively promote the development of the Cali-Baja region.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00abOur goal is to train young people with the intellectual abilities to contribute to our community. We believe Mexico and the United States form the same region, so we always look for new opportunities to collaborate. The stronger the Imperial Valley, the stronger Mexicali is and vice versa. This is a new area for CETYS, but we are very happy to have this development opportunity, where we will all win\u00bb.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. A. Adolphe Edward, CEO of ECRMC, pointed out the great teamwork between CETYS and the Hospital, <em>\u201cthis effort will support the training and continuing education of the students of tomorrow, which will generate a positive impact in the economic development of the region\u201d.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>The course consists of three fundamental parts: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vocabulary and terminology for nursing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preparation course for taking the TOEFL iBT test<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preparation course for NCLEX certification (National Council Licensure Examination).<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\nThe course is open to all registered nurses who wish to work in ECRMC and thus grow professionally.
