<\/p>\nAs part of the celebrations of\u00a0its 56th anniversary, CETYS University received \u00a0the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) re-accreditation, which reaffirms the university’s \u00a0commitment to offering high quality, international education in the region.<\/p>\n

This\u00a0historical event for higher education in Mexico was held at the Tijuana Campus, where\u00a0Dr. Fernando Le\u00f3n Garc\u00eda, President of CETYS University System, symbolically received the accreditation for ten more years from\u00a0Dr. Richard Osborn, Vice President of WASC, \u00a0as a result of \u00a0the institution’s quality, innovation and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
According to Dr. Le\u00f3n Garc\u00eda, this educational quality has been made possible thanks to the cooperation of both faculty and staff, as well as and members of the Instituto Educativo del Noroeste, A.C. (IENAC), the institution that\u00a0sponsors CETYS, who have aligned towards\u00a0the same objective: to contribute to the education\u00a0of professionals\u00a0with the moral and intellectual capacity necessary to actively participate in the improvement of the region.<\/p>\n
Dr. Osborn explained that the evaluation and review of CETYS has been a long process during which\u00a0the interest and responsibility that the institution has for the training of globally competitive professionals was evidenced.<\/p>\n
