{"id":1465,"date":"2024-08-30T22:44:26","date_gmt":"2024-08-30T22:44:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/news\/?p=1465"},"modified":"2024-08-30T22:44:27","modified_gmt":"2024-08-30T22:44:27","slug":"cetys-university-launches-12th-annual-international-summer-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cetys.mx\/news\/cetys-university-launches-12th-annual-international-summer-program\/","title":{"rendered":"CETYS University Launches 12th Annual International Summer Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>CETYS University recently welcomed 238 students and 12 professors from across<br>North America, Central America, South America, Asia, and Europe for the 12th edition<br>of the \u00abInternational Summer Program (ISP),\u00bb a two-week academic program held<br>annually at the Ensenada International Campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the opening ceremony, Dr. Fernando Le\u00f3n-Garc\u00eda, President of the CETYS<br>University System, warmly welcomed the students and emphasized the significance of<br>the ISP\u2019s global perspective: \u00abOur courses are designed to cultivate a global outlook.<br>Throughout the program, our faculty will support you, working together to strengthen<br>ties with partner universities, enhance learning through hands-on experiences, and<br>explore potential collaborative research projects.\u00bb<br>He also noted that this year&#8217;s program includes participation from international<br>professors who will deliver 13 courses. In-person offerings include Project Management,<br>Business Intelligence, International Marketing, Strategic Management, Negotiation and<br>Conflict Resolution, Supply Chain Management, Renewable Energy Sources, Social<br>Media Marketing, and Creativity and Innovation.<br>Additionally, hybrid (in-person and online) courses will cover topics such as<br>Sustainability and Competitiveness, and International Trade in the North American<br>Region. The course on Leadership and Innovation will be available online.<br>Dr. Francisco V\u00e9lez, Dean of the Ensenada International Campus, encouraged students<br>to step out of their comfort zones and fully engage in the rigorous academic<br>environment: \u00abThis is not a summer camp; it&#8217;s an intensive summer program. The<br>courses you\u2019ll be taking are demanding and accredited.\u00bb<br>Similarly, Dr. Scott Venezia-Corral, Director of International Relations for the CETYS<br>University System, mentioned that this is \u00abthe 12th edition of the International Summer<br>Program, a high-quality program for students. Your experience is very important to us<br>and our partners, as it contributes to developing your skills and professional growth.\u00bb He<br>concluded by emphasizing to the students: \u00abCETYS is your home, your summer home.\u00bb<br>For the second consecutive year, CETYS High School students from all three campuses<br>are participating in the ISP, enrolling in the course \u00abCreativity in Action: How to Turn<br>Your Ideas into Reality,\u00bb led by Colombian instructor Yudy Alexandra Hern\u00e1ndez-<br>Parada.<br>This year\u2019s ISP features in-person students from countries such as Poland, Germany,<br>Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Czech Republic, the United States,<br>Armenia, Portugal, Uzbekistan, Bosnia, and Mexico. Additionally, students from<br>Morocco, India, Colombia, Bangladesh, and Austria will participate online.
