Jos\u00e9 Helio Lozano-Mateos,<\/strong> a Computer Science Engineering student at CETYS Mexicali<\/strong>, and Marisela Ver\u00f3nica Vega-Meza<\/strong>, an International Public Accounting student at CETYS Tijuana<\/strong>, were awarded the 2023 CETYS CityU Presidential Scholarships 2023<\/em>. Now they have the opportunity to continue their Dual Degree program at both CETYS University<\/strong> and City University of Seattle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This scholarship was established in 2005, when both institutions agreed to collaborate in preparing students like Jos\u00e9 Helio and Marisela, who are ready for the binational challenges that identify this region, with the benefit of graduating with a Dual Degree in the United States and Mexico. The financial aid was awarded in a ceremony by Dr. Randy Frisch, President of the City University of Seattle, and Dr. Fernando Le\u00f3n-Garc\u00eda, President of the CETYS University System.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI want to congratulate Marisela and Jos\u00e9 Helio, an example of high-quality students who join the program. They will obtain the best higher education from these two great universities, as well as a global experience, which is one of the goals of studying a Dual Degree, teaching how small the world is and how we can reach out to each other, as well as continuing to instill in students a desire to learn throughout their lives,\u201d said Dr. Randy Frisch.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Fernando Le\u00f3n-Garc\u00eda<\/strong> recalled that the synergy between the institutions benefits great talents like these students and provides them with international experiences, which for a region like CaliBaja, will afford them greater opportunities and global solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Jos\u00e9 Helio and Marisela, 40 students have benefited from the Presidential Scholarships CETYS-City University of Seattle. This 2023 marks 18 years of academic collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
