Representatives of the automotive company visited CETYS University Mexicali Campus.<\/i><\/b> They acknowledged the potential of students from the School of Engineering.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

 Tesla Motors employees visited the School of Engineering of CETYS University Mexicali Campus, drawn by the showcase of innovation skills, technological development, and high-level professional performance of its graduates within the engineering industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

The delegation was comprised of collaborators who began their careers as interns at Tesla plants located in California and Texas in the United States, headed by Wes Morrill, Director of Test Engineering, and Meg Liotta, Senior Internship Recruiter. During the sessions held at the Center for Innovation and Design (CEID), the executives shared a series of conferences and workshops with students and professors, toured the laboratories, and witnessed a sample of student projects in robotics, automotive engineering, design, and automation.<\/span><\/p>\n

An Engineering Talks panel was also held, where Tesla Motors employees shared with CETYS students their experience of growth within the company and addressed issues related to the importance of the quality of teaching-learning processes and the impact on their professional development.<\/span><\/p>\n

For years now, CETYS has stood out at Tesla through its interns, such as Eng. Fernanda L\u00f3pez and Eng. Karla Sofia Naranjo, as well as students Viviana Chiang and Edgar Tostado. As graduates, some of them have permanently joined the company ranks, proving to have the leadership and talent necessary to consolidate their careers at the firm headed by Elon Musk.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abOur visit to learn more about what CETYS does has been very pleasant. Its facilities and the training of its students allow them to adapt to the industrial environments, and that makes them valuable elements,\u00bb said Wes Morrill, Director of Test Engineering.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that it is important that educational institutions encourage creativity and involve students in activities that go beyond the theory learned in class, such as robotics, design, automation, and programming clubs, among others, to motivate them to develop innovative solutions to the problems presented by their environment.<\/span><\/p>\n
