Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and global engagement, CETYS Graduate School of Business, in partnership with the University of San Diego (USD), recently celebrated the graduation of their joint MBA program. This year, the fifth cohort to achieve this notable milestone, comprised of 27 students, completed this rigorous program earning a Master of Science in Global Leadership degree from USD.
This groundbreaking partnership was established in 2019, offering a joint academic program between CETYS and USD that fosters leadership, innovation, and a global outlook in the business sector. The graduates of this cohort, hailing from CETYS Universidad in campuses in Tijuana, Mexicali, and Ensenada, embody the binational commitment of this program and its influence across different regions.

A key goal of this collaboration is to improve English language proficiency, with all courses conducted by USD in English. Moreover, both institutions hold accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), guaranteeing the educational quality and international recognition of the degrees awarded.
Dr. Mónica López-Sieben, Director of CETYS Graduate School of Business, extended her congratulations to the new graduates of this innovative program, now celebrating its fifth cohort. She emphasized the program’s significant impact and professional development of the graduates and their acquisition of strategic and global leadership skills.
Dr. Rebeca B. Sánchez, Academic Coordinator of the MBA Double Degree, celebrated the success of this cohort, which raised the total number of graduates from this prestigious program to 99, and announced the start of the eighth cohort in July.
“The MBA Double Degree offers a unique educational experience where CETYS and USD collaborate to cultivate professionals with a global business vision, focusing on developing skills for high-level executive positions,” emphasized the coordinator.

“Completing my MBA Double Degree at CETYS represents not only the fulfillment of a personal goal but also the consolidation of my professional career. It reflects the binational reality we experience living on the border, where we are always adapting to two very different worlds. Ultimately, it has equipped me with practical knowledge for my professional life and fostered friendships that I hope will endure beyond the classroom,” remarked Ana Hernández, following the graduation ceremony at USD.

USD, renowned for its academic excellence and commitment to internationalization, has provided the perfect environment for this joint program. This partnership has allowed CETYS to emerge as a leader in the professionalization of management and business, seamlessly integrating innovation, entrepreneurship, and the experiences of global institutions.
